Batt insulation

Attics, walls, and crawls. Fiberglass and rockwool batts can go just about anywhere. The paper is called the vapor barrier and should be installed facing the interior of the home. This keeps moisture from soaking into the insulation. In Arkansas, the minimum outside wall Rvalue is 15. Which is convenient, as that is what you get with the cheapest batts.

Pros: Cheap. Easy to install. Easy to find. No machine necessary. Is made to fit in tight spaces.

Cons: Not the highest R-value. If not installed properly, can reduce the efficiency. Allows for thermal bridging.
